What is Kunsthalle Mainz?

The Kunsthalle Mainz was opened in 2008.

The Kunsthalle Mainz shows contemporary art.

There are three or four exhibitions a year.

The building used to be a harbor building.

The Kunsthalle Mainz has several large rooms.

The works of art are made of different materials and media.

Depending on the exhibition, these are

  • Video projections
  • Sound works
  • Installations
  • Photographs
  • Sculptures
  • Textile works

Sometimes there can be an overload of stimuli.

Bring Oropax, sunglasses or a cap.

The green tower of the Kunsthalle Mainz is inclined by 7 degrees.

This means that the walls in the stairwell are inclined.

The walls in the rooms in the tower are inclined.

It may be more comfortable to use the elevator.

The elevator is made of glass.

You can ask the visitor service for help.

The room on tower level 1 is darkened.
